Weekly Update

Administration

·         Tag Marshal – We are starting the implementation of our Tag Marshal GPS system. All golf club carts now have a GPS tracker. This tracker will automatically assign to your tee time and will track your group pace of play. Our current time par is 4 hours and 10 minutes. As we see the results, we may adjust this time par to reflect what we are typically seeing for pace of play.

o   Geo Fencing – We are also implementing our geo fencing system. All tees, greens and native grass areas have now been geo-fenced. The current warning will be a beeping to inform of being in a restricted area. When you hear the beeping, you should turn back and exit the beeping area. The fenced areas have just been put in place, and we are monitoring spots that need to be edited or changed, your patience is appreciated.

o   Hard Stop Geo-Fencing – In approximately 6 weeks we will implement a hard stop geo-fencing, this system will beep to warn and if you continue and do not exit it will shut the cart down and force a backing up of the cart. We will have 6 weeks to get used to the new system, but we feel it will help protect the turf and integrity of the golf course.

o   Notifications – Tag Marshal will notify the pro shop of all geo-fence breaches. Each cart will be tagged to your group so please be aware of your driving habits. As well, each group will also have their pace of play tracked. As a group you will have every round of golf you play tracked and monitored.

o   Handicap Flags – Members requiring a handicap flag will need to come into the pro shop to grab the flag and have their cart turned off to enter certain areas of the course. Please note a handicap flag does not give a person the right to drive excessively close to the greens, on the tee boxes or on the native grass hills. Thanks for your understanding.

·         Course Marshal – We would like to welcome Rod McClure as our course marshal. Rod has been a member of the club the last few years and will be working primarily Friday thru Sunday afternoons.

Pro Shop

·         Driving Range – The grass range will open Wednesday May 6th for the season. As well we have started using our new range balls. With the grass range opening, please note the range will shut down 1 hour prior to sunset to allow back shop staff a chance to sand and get range ready for the next day.

o   Mat Days - We will continue having mat days on Monday and Thursday for this year.  We feel giving the grass range a few days off each week enhances the turf throughout the season.

·         Leagues

o   Men’s League – Men’s League registration link is attached. To play league this year you must signup and pay in advance with the link provided. Cost is $60 if you pre-pay with the link. If you wait until the first night to pay in person the cost is $80. For 2026 we will run the same formats however we have a different software provider, Smartgolf. First regular league night is May 6th.
