Administration

·         Cart Stops – We now have a cart stop feature installed in our entire cart fleet. This feature will prevent carts from going into certain restricted areas, such as the native grass hills, certain cart paths, too close to greens etc. Should your cart stop, you must reverse out of the area you are in and proceed in a different direction.

o   Handicap Flag Users – Handicap flag users will have the stops shut off so they can access areas closer to the greens. It does not permit users to drive on native grass hills, directly off cart paths (Hole 5 path), up on tee boxes or extremely close or on the greens. Please use proper judgement and consult with Bill or Trevor if you are unsure of procedure.

o   Member Carts – As member carts do not have the cart stop feature, we will be trusting all private member carts will be following all the cart rules. Failure to follow cart rules and policies may result in individual carts not being allowed on the course. If you are unsure of any cart policy, please reach out to Bill or Trevor for clarification.

·         Congratulations – To DB Teaching Golf Professional Dillon Batsel, Dillon finished second at the Canadian PGA Championship last week and 3rd in the Alberta Open this past week. Congrats to Mark Hutchings, Ryan Hodgins, and Wyatt Bishop for representing Desert Blume and making the top 60 cut.

·         Club Champs – Congrats to our 2026 Club Champions: Kristi Sauter – Ladies; Ryan Hodgins – Men’s; Mark Torgerson – Seniors; and Kellen Heddema - Juniors

·         August Pro Shop Sale – 30% off all clothing, shoes, bags, and accessories (hats, socks, gloves, belts etc.); 25% off all golf clubs including drivers, iron sets, sand wedges, and putters

o   4 Lady Scramble – Sunday August 16th – FULL

o   Oilmen’s Golf Tournament Friday Aug. 21st – Course and all amenities closed this day

o   The clubhouse will close at 5pm Sunday Aug. 16th

o   The clubhouse will be closed all day Friday Aug. 21st

o   The clubhouse will close at 3pm Thursday Aug. 27th and Saturday Aug. 29th
